The City of Palm Coast is inviting residents to take part in one of our upcoming Water Treatment Plant tours, which proved to be one of our more popular events offered in 2025. The in-depth tour will allow participants to gain a first-hand perspective on our Water and Wastewater systems and the unique processes involved in each.

“We’ve found that our residents are very interested to learn about this process and have found that many who have attended similar tours in the past have benefited in their understanding by seeing it first-hand,” said City Manager Mike McGlothlin. “While we do have educational materials on our website and social media outlets, attending the tours of our facilities in-person provides a unique perspective while allowing residents to ask questions about the process in real-time with our team of professionals.”

Tours will feature walk-throughs of both the Water Treatment Plant #3 and the Wastewater Treatment Plant #2, the latter of which underwent a significant upgrade just last year, doubling its capacity from 2 million gallons per day to 4 million gallons per day. Both plants are located on the same site at 400 Peavy Grade, off US-1, just south of Matanzas Woods Parkway.

Four tours in all have been scheduled for this year. Times and dates are as follows:

Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes for the tours. To reserve your spot now, visit the registration page link here.

Additionally, the City of Palm Coast also created a new virtual tour of Wastewater Treatment Plant #1, a facility that will soon see significant expansion and infrastructure upgrades via bond funding that was approved by the Palm Coast City Council at a business meeting on January 20, 2026.
