Palm Coast Fire Department’s 23rd Annual Hall of Terror Draws Record Crowds, Delivers Thrills with ‘Greatest Slashers’ Theme

The Palm Coast Fire Department’s 23rd Annual Hall of Terror shattered attendance records once again, with over 5,000 visitors daring to brave the haunted halls on October 30 and 31.

This year’s event, “Greatest Slashers of All Time,” paid chilling homage to horror’s biggest icons from the last 50 years. It featured terrifying scenes inspired by Scream, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho, Terrifier, Nightmare on Elm Street, Child’s Play, and Friday the 13th, and a surprising guest appearance by SNL’s David S. Pumpkins, who provided a unique twist on the horror experience.

Visitors of all ages explored the spine-tingling rooms at Fire Station 21, enjoying a free, spooky experience that’s become a cherished tradition for Palm Coast residents and visitors alike. Food trucks, including Kona Ice, Wandering Hoagie, Cool Beans BBQ, and Sheila’s Funnel Cakes, provided a tasty way to calm the nerves and fuel up before and after the scare-filled tour.

This year’s Hall of Terror also featured a special sensory-friendly walkthrough from 6-7 p.m. each night, providing an inclusive option for those with epilepsy, sensory sensitivities, or who preferred a less intense experience.

Fire Chief Kyle Berryhill extended heartfelt thanks to the dedicated volunteers, members of the Palm Coast Fire Department, and the City of Palm Coast team for their hard work in creating another memorable Hall of Terror. “We love how this event continues to grow each year. We’re grateful for the community’s support and the efforts of everyone involved in delivering such a thrilling experience. We look forward to continuing this incredible tradition for many years to come,” Chief Berryhill said.
