5th Annual Touch-a-Truck Event Draws Record Attendance with Vehicles, Food, and Fun

Now in its 5^th year, the City of Palm Coast’s Annual Touch-a-Truck broke its attendance record over the weekend with over 6,000 visitors stopping by Central Park in Town Center to take part in the family-friendly event. Hosted by Palm Coast’s Public Works Department, the event featured over 75 vehicles of all shapes and sizes from local agencies and allowed participants to get up close and personal and participate in interactive games and activities.

Like previous years, the event also featured a “horn-free” hour to kick-off this year’s festivities, assuring an inclusive experience for all of those with sensory sensitivities. Featured highlights of this year’s lineup included a sand dig area designed by the City of Palm Coast’s Public Works department, an appearance by a full-scale Pirate Ship provided by Seawolf Privateers, as well as over a dozen food trucks on location.

This year’s Touch-a-Truck also coincided with the Spring Arts Festival, hosted in partnership with the City of Palm Coast and the Flagler County Cultural Council. The festival transformed Central Park into a vibrant celebration of local creativity, with live music, student performances, interactive art experiences, and over 60 artist booths and cultural exhibitors. Guests at Touch-a-Truck were able to seamlessly enjoy both events, turning the day into a one-of-a-kind blend of arts, culture, and community connection.

“We are proud to bring this event back to Central Park every year and bring the community something that is both fun and educational for our youth,” said Benny Cope, Specialist from Palm Coast Public Works. “The community response has been tremendous, and we are proud to see the continued growth we’ve experienced each year since our first event.”
