IT Technical Support Specialist
Department : Information Technology

Under direction of the Service Desk Supervisor, the purpose of the position is to serve as the primary point of contact for staff experiencing hardware, software, or network issues. Responsibilities include troubleshooting and resolving technical problems, escalating complex issues to higher-level support teams when necessary, and maintaining professional and effective communication with users to minimize disruption to operations. 
Duties include managing service requests through a ticketing system, documenting issues and resolutions, and assisting with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of devices such as desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices. The specialist will also provide support for standard applications and basic network connectivity while ensuring compliance with the organization's IT policies and security protocols. 
This position requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, a customer-focused approach, and a basic understanding of IT concepts. The IT Technical Support Specialist supports the organization's mission by ensuring staff can perform their duties effectively with minimal technical interruptions.

Associate Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred; supplemented by one (1) year knowledgeable and skilled experience in IT service and support; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver's License.
